What inspired you to start your work?
tracey k. art begun a year ago now, fulfilling a life long passion for art and design. I previously ran a Home Staging business while also working in Interior Design and Event Staging. My desire has always been to work with art in some form, so I now work full time designing and drawing.
Describe your creative space, where you bring to life your work?
My current studio/work space is situated in my loft bedroom. Here, I sit in front of the window, taking inspiration from the view and visualising my future art studio.
What do you love most about your handmade business?
I love creating beautiful art using nothing more than a black pen. It is simple, raw and uncomplicated. The honesty of using pen, is that once a line is drawn it can’t be erased or altered. It becomes a permanent fixture on an original piece of art.
What are you most looking forward to about being at the Auckland Fair?
This will be my first time at the Auckland Fair. I’m really looking forward to being involved in the event and showcasing my work. I’m also excited to be collaborating with Stylist Stacey Beatson, in a range of exclusive printed T-Shirts.
What has been your biggest triumph to date?
Every drawing I sell is a triumph, I’m just thrilled that I get to make a living doing what I love.
